Hi, I am Erica Baker, I am 22 years old and a UW Stevens Point Communication Alum. I’m starting my career in marketing in Minneapolis.

During college I was hoping to pursue a career in Journalism, first in writing, then I switched to broadcasting, then I lost a bit of the passion that drove me toward those mediums and I’ve settled (for now) in marketing.

I’m eager to pursue my marking path but I am also eager to break away from news writing and start falling back in love with the creative and unrestricted side of writing.

This blog will:

1. Document the adventures I take in this new city

   • Review style and story telling

   • Pictures and video because I love the mediums and how they can be used to aid story telling.

2. Review my summer reading choices because my apartment has a nice pool to sit by and I have time to read again!

3. Maybe a few political opinion pieces because very occasionally I get fired up and can’t hold my tongue.

4. Serve as a place to document my different creative endeavors with

   • Photography

   • Videography

   • Knitting

   • Crocheting

   • Any other hobbies I decided to pick up because why not
